PRIVATE ACTING - FILM/TV

The actor’s nuances must be precise and focused for the camera to capture the authenticity of the performance.

 

Actors who are interested in a career in film and television, still require a good understanding of stage technique as a foundation. This is critical to the development of a good actor, who will have career longevity. Having a strong screen presence comes from making bold and fearless acting choices and understanding how voice a movement are used in the development of character.

You will learn various acting techniques, methods and approaches including Stanislavski, Meisner, Adler and Hagen.

An individualized program will be developed to meet your artistic needs, while receiving practical, hands-on training in acting, on-camera techniques, voice-over, auditioning and career development.


Based on an initial consultation, a personalized lesson plan will be designed to meet your needs while addressing the areas of:

• Creating Immediacy in your Work

• Acting Tactics and Objectives

• Text Analysis and Interpretation

• Monologue and Script Work

• Nuances of Performing on Camera

• Character Timing, Rhythm, and Control

• Creating Your Portfolio and Career Development

• Work Focused on Specific Blocks the Performer has Developed

Depending on the stream you choose, you will enroll in other complementary courses to meet the standards of that stream.
